What does this chick eat?
Maybe folks wonder….
How do I stay
so slim and
energetic?
while enjoying so MUCH food??
Well…
If you read my "80/20
rule" you know that
I have a rule for
staying slim and
healthy
It basically means
that I follow
a Healthy Eating plan
at least 80% of the time
and I give myself
leeway the other 20%
Truth be told,
I probably stick
with a healthy eating
plan about 90%
of the time.
Why?
Because it is so
easy to do
with the methods
I follow

I do eat lots of
raw fruits and veggies
Lots of fresh greens
(spinach, romaine, kale, etc)
I also enjoy whole grains
and beans and rice
And they taste SO GOOD
the way I prepare them
- smoothies
- delicious salads (with to-die-for dressings!
- and main dishes that are so tasty!
But do I eat ONLY raw food?
No
And you don't have to either
if you want to be healthy
and slim
So….
If I recommend that you check out
a raw food resource or a vegan
option for a meal
please allow yourself to be open
to the possibilities.
Whole natural foods DO taste awesome
You just have to experiment
to find YOUR "fave meals"
Even my husband a former
big time meat eater has
amazed me with his
requests for my vegan dishes
He actually prefers them to his
old carnivore favorites.
So….don't put yourself in a box
And don't PRE-judge whether you
would like certain raw food dishes
or vegan fare.
This is what I know about the way I eat:
–I get to eat a large volume of food
that tastes great
–No calorie counting
–No starving
–No deprivation
–I do get desserts (usually daily!)
–I feel great
–My cholesterol is perfect
–I have great energy
–I can exercise and enjoy the outdoors
–I get to look forward to meal time!
Now….does that sound like I am missing out?
