Raw Food Diet benefits I experienced: Weight Loss and more

Bounce Back if you Fall off Your Wagon

Hey Everyone -

I just want you to know I think about each of you every day.

I wish we could hang out!

There are so many healthy tips I think of constantly that I want to share with you so you can be healthy and slim and live the life of your dreams! :)

One thing that really has been on my mind this week is that it is much more important for you to learn how to bounce back from an indulgence than it is to try to learn how to be "perfect" with food.

Being "perfect" with food is not realistic - not possible - and not fun.

Indulging once in a while is inevitable and it is better for you to plan how to respond to it then to think it will never happen and then be angry with yourself when it does.

If you don't indulge in "fun" foods or "off plan" foods at least once in a while you will eventually feel deprived and you may just end up throwing your entire healthy plan out the window.

You want to learn to be flexible.

But you also don't want to have an indulgence, and then let it lead to a binge, and then find yourself days later eating more and more junk foods.

If you eat too much food on a particular day or eat foods that are not on the plan you simple to need to bounce back by getting right back on track as soon as possible.

If you overeat at one meal — just eat a bit less at the next or work out a little bit more.

Bottom line - don't let one little indulgence make you go out of control and prevent you from reaching your weight goal and being healthy over your lifetime.

Planning ahead and being aware that sometimes you will over-indulge - and then getting right back on track is a life lesson that will serve you well.

We all live in the REAL world — and we are not going to "perfect" with our food forever (besides that would be so boring!) - you might want to do what I do…I kind of live with the 90 / 10 rule. 90% of the time I am eating super healthy and 10% I have some fun with my diet and overall I still stay healthy, maintain a slim comfortable weight, and have a REAL life too. :)

Hope this helps you,

Jana

Aww, Jana, you're so sweet - I think of you every day, too! Yeah, hanging out would be cool! :D Someone should invent a beamer fast!

I had a little indulgence today, so it's funny your post is about that! And you know what - I don't even feel guilty for it, which is a major step for me. I mean, do you remember what I was like when I sent you an email for the first time? Major progress here! I'm still staying happily raw most of the time, so it's all good.

I kinda miss your cleanses though! They were always so much fun! I think we should do one again together sometime!

Abyway, take care - I'm off to sleep. God, it's like 2:30 in the morning over here! I'm so gone!

Have a great day, and take care!

Malvina —

You are so right on! Yes, you HAVE made major progress and how awesome that you are not beating yourself up about a little indulgence…that is such a healthier way to live.

People see incredible results in weight loss and health improvement simply from adding more fruits and vegetables to their diets.. there is no need to be extreme (100% raw food, etc) unless you have found that over time that is what works best for your body.

I just want everyone's health to improve both mentally and physically — and that we all get happy and appreciate the bodies we have that do so much for us every day. That is most important…NOT that we have a bikini body or be striving for something that most of us don't have the genetic composition to ever have anyway…

Let's get healthy and be happy and make the best choices we can every day — and I think we will all be better off! :)

Yes…I would like us to both beam to a warm sunny beach where we can go swimming in warm water and then lay in the sun. Does that sound good to you?

Are you serious about another cleanse? I am up for it if you are :) maybe a 7 day?

Hugs,
Jana

Jana -

That sounds so so good to me! A beach where we could eat mangoes off of trees! I wouldn't mind living on nothing but mangoes for a while… When are we going? :D

Sure I'm serious about the cleanse! I'm so happy you're up for it! Let's start tomorrow, ok?

Have a great day!

Hugs,

Malvina
