Long time…no write…..I know… I know…
Has anyone else been really busy?
No, I have not fallen off the cleansing wagon - I did bounce out of it for a moment on Sunday night but I ran really fast and caught back up to it and jumped back on.
Yep, I did have an infraction on Sunday night after a super emotional day…but I did not throw out the cleanse - just had a non cleanse food moment….I am human…like all the rest of you reading this…unless the aliens have found my website again!
Considering everything that is going on in my life, that little hiccup is small potatoes!
Onward…
I have to mention my delicious smoothie this morning…you all might want to try it. It had 3 mandarin oranges, 1 banana, and 1 cup fresh pineapple. It was so yummy. I usually add greens of some sort (kale, romaine, spinach, etc) to my smoothies but I opened my fridge and all my greens were gone! So I enjoyed my smoothie sans greens for the first time in forever. It was still delish! Give it a try for a tasty nutritious meal.
This time of year when we are all so busy with the holidays it is hard sometimes to make time for yourself and you can get "lost" in all the busy-ness.
I find that when I do that I lose my balance and lose my healthy self control. I just have to slow down and make time to care for myself so that I have the energy to be kind and care for the other folks in my life.
So today, take a moment and take care of YOU — give yourself permission to put your health first.
You will be able to be all you are meant to be when you give yourself the best chance to do so.

Hi Jana,
Good job getting right back on track with the cleanse. I too had a non-cleanse moment and I am determined that that is going to be all it is. A moment. I am right back on track now. It's hard to cleanse with all of this winter weather around me. I find myself craving hot food. In the end though I have to remember that it is not worth it. I deserve to feel good about myself and cleansing helps me do just that. Hang in there Jana. You are not alone.

I am so proud of both of us for doing as well as we are doing considering the cold weather and the unlimited temptations we are surrounded by at this time of year.
When you look around - we are eating probably 90-95% more healthily (new word!) than everyone around us.
And you are right, you DO deserve to feel good about yourself. When you eat healthy, you just feel so much better physically but also so much better mentally.
You are in control - your mind is clearer - and that feels great!
